Presidents Awards :Gold Award Certificate

Last Monday, four of our students namely; Teresa Serway, Alastair Njoroge, Tanvi Shah and Andrew Mwikaria were among more than 1000 students who converged at State House, Nairobi to formally receive the Gold Award certificate.

The ceremony was officiated by H.E. Hon Uhuru Kenyatta, President and the commander in chief of all the armed forces of the Republic of Kenya. BIIS as the only Braeburn School at the event, had Teresa Serway receiving the certificate on behalf of the institution. The Gold award presentation at State House Nairobi, marked the culmination of a series of hard work, community service, physical activities, discipline, teamwork and navigation skills undertaken in three phases. The three phases/levels are Bronze, Silver and eventually Gold.

Once again, congratulations to the four students.

The event managed to raise three million kenya shillings that will be used to put an electric fence around Mount Kenya national park. Braeburn Imani was represented by Mir, Jay, Krisha, Immanuel and Max. Our team came fourth in the under 12 boys category with an improved time as compared to last year. Well done boys and a big Thanks to our esteemed parents for their wonderful support.

Model United Nations

It was a wonderful week for the delegates at the UNON where we debated our resolutions. All our three resolutions passed and even getting the best resolution in Ecology from a delegation led by Njoki Liberata as the Ambassodor.

The students learned a lot in terms of public speaking, research as well as practicing leadership skills. It's always a golden chance for all students.
