Desert Dishes and Pastries

This week, Year 10 F&N students have had an exciting time planning for and preparing starter and dessert dishes using pastries which could also be ideal to carry as packed lunch for picnics or even for a bake sale. They made sausage rolls using flaky pastry and profiteroles filled with confectioner’s custard and topped with homemade chocolate sauce.

The alternative of fish cakes served with vegetable salad and vinaigrette broke the monotony and rigour of pastry making. The dishes were both well presented and sumptuous.
